The FDA has expanded its recall of metronidazole injection to include certain intravenous metronidazole, ondansetron and ciprofloxacin products manufactured by Claris.  certain intravenous metronidazole, ondansetron and ciprofloxacin products manufactured by Claris. These products are sold under the following labels: Claris, Sagent Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer and West-Ward Pharmaceuticals. Metronidazole (Flagyl) and ciprofloxacin are antimicrobials, and ondansetron is an anti-emetic. Although labeled for human use, these drugs can be used in animals. Please make sure that your vet is aware of this recall.
