Kensington woman in the running for AKC Breeder of the Year award

A New Hampshire dog breeder is receiving a national honor.  From the Seacoast Online:

Top PhotoWhen Leslie Frank decided to pursue her passion for dogs, she never thought she would end up the winner of the American Kennel Club Breeder of the Year Award in the herding category.

Frank, a resident of Kensington, has been breeding Australian shepherds for the past 44 years at her home on Propwash Farm.

“I fell in love. I loved the first dog I owned and wanted more,” she said.

Frank is currently breeding 12 dogs, including five new puppies on the 45-acre farm. Her main goal is to sell dogs to well-fit families, but she uses a majority of them for shows.
